Ashley Brunt

Making the decision to start therapy is difficult. Will it be awkward? How do I talk to a stranger about my greatest insecurities or things that I have never told anyone? I understand how scary it can be to make that jump, and I am so happy you have made the choice to start that journey.

I completed my Master's Degree in Social Work from Indiana University South Bend in 2014, and have been a fully licensed social worker since 2018. I have experience with severe, persistent mental illness, acute psychiatric needs, dementia, substance use disorders, and mood and anxiety disorders, in settings ranging from long-term care facilities, community mental health, health centers serving the underserved, and private practice.

I believe in using a strengths-based approach while utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, and solution-focused therapy to help my clients reach their goals. I am passionate about working with adults and adolescents, age 14+, to navigate issues of depression, anxiety, and trauma. In particular, I enjoy working with women to navigate life transitions, find their value, and be the best version of themselves.
